Getting Started

Complete an IT Project Proposal Form

All projects for Information Technology are formally requested using an online proposal form and reviewed by the IT Planning Group. Constituent Services, 785-864-4243, can guide you through completing the IT project proposal form.

Should your project be submitted to EARP or directly to IT?

Project proposals with potential for campus-wide use, or which require more than 80 hours of effort, are submitted to the Enterprise Application Planning (EARP) Board. The EARP Frequently Asked Questions page explains their process in detail.

All other proposals for IT projects are submitted directly to IT using the IT online project proposal form.

What can you expect?

Proposals submitted to EARP follow a quarterly review cycle, and questions can be directed to the Office of the Vice Provost for Information Services at 864-4999 or enterpriseapps@ku.edu.

Proposals submitted directly to IT are reviewed by the IT Planning Group to determine their technical and financial feasibility. Someone will contact you within two weeks concerning the status of your proposal.
