The following list of software is supported by Information Services staff. Adhering to this list ensures that users have a known source of support at KU Information Services, and improves interoperability of various hardware platforms and software versions. If you have questions about software on this list, please contact the IT Customer Service Center at 864-8080.

NOTE: Windows Vista, the latest version of the Microsoft Windows operating system is not compatible with some software programs used on campus. KU Information Technology recommends that campus users continue using Windows XP at this time. Windows 7 is not yet recommended because the software is still being beta tested and has not yet been released for general public use. More information.

This list shows the latest supported version of each program as of February 1, 2007. Information Services staff can answer questions about the version shown and one previous version. Responses to questions about earlier versions of the software listed, or about software that does not appear on this list, will be handled as a "best effort" by Information Services staff.

Please contact your local technical support staff person before installing any software on a university owned machine.
